Investigate why system allows to allocate stock which is reserved as quality stock.

After analysis understand that system is strangely consuming the stock from reserved stock if there is additional quality inspection stock is there, while posting to subcontracting vendor. This might be due to bug in the system. To correct this bug looked for OSS notes and not found any suitable one.

Escalated the issue to SAP with replicated example.

Resolution

Work accordingly as per SAP advice.

SAP advised that in AFS, quality stock will be allocated and issued for stock transfer scenario.If this is not the required behaviour, the option is to move the stock to a different storage location and apply a filter for that storagelocation in the ARUN type.
